Meijer and Stouffer's Partner up for a great deal!

I just have to write about this.

Starting yesterday, Meijer has a promotion running that if you buy two Family or Party Size Stouffer's frozen meals, you get Meijer garlic bread, one bag of Meijer frozen veggies, and a package of Toll House break apart cookies all FREE!

Now, most of this isn't the healthiest food, but my husband and I are definitely on a budget so we couldn't pass this up. Essentially for $15 (We bought the Family size, not Party which is more expensive and also too much food for us), we got about $21-22 worth of food.

Here's the key: Make the frozen meal and pair it with a salad or a couple of vegetable sides. Make sure you're dividing the portions of the meal correctly. If the package says there are six servings, divide it into six even portions, or more portions and fill up with veggies!

Then just make sure that the rest of your food that day is good and healthy. Moderation and small portion sizes of things like this are key.

PS - If you didn't know about it, Meijer has a new way of doing coupons. It's called mperks, and can be found at: Mperks. If you have a mobile phone that can receive text messages, sign up (It's free!), and you simply click on the coupons that you want from the website. When you get to the store, make sure you sign into your account while checking out to automatically deduct the coupons you "clipped" online. It's that simple, and the bonus is that you get a $2 off of a $5 purchase coupon just for signing up!
